“Days of Our Lives” spoilers tease that we will learn a little more about Leo’s (Greg Rikaart) past. Until now, his childhood was not revealed. However, a person’s past, upbringing and trauma can explain a lot when it comes to adult behaviors. If this happens with Leo, will fans understand or is he one character that just cannot be forgiven?
When Leo first appeared on the NBC soap opera, he met Sonny Kiriakis (Freddie Smith) on an Internet dating site. The two met up for coffee and fans thought Sonny might have another chance at love. However, it was just a scandalous scheme set up by Vivian Alamain (Louise Sorel). Later, Kate Roberts (Lauren Koslow) also become involved.
“Days of Our Lives” spoilers teased Leo’s return. He wasn’t dead at all and is using it to manipulate Will (Chandler Massey) and Sonny. If they want to avoid prison, then Sonny had to marry Leo. Even though Sonny reluctantly agreed, that hasn’t stopped him from trying to find a way out of the forced marriage.

Earlier this week, Leo let a piece of his past slip out to Sonny. He mentioned his childhood and his mother. Apparently, the two did not have a healthy mother/son relationship. Sonny was taken aback a bit and wanted to learn more. However, Leo didn’t divulge any additional details.

Later, Sonny mentioned to Will that this could be something they could use to their advantage. Even if this is accurate, the fact that Leo’s past is starting to be revealed means fans will find out more about the character. We will discover what makes him tick and just like all villains, their motivations are stemmed from a deep-rooted pain in their past. The same can be said for Leo.
Sometimes, fans can forgive characters for their villainous acts. However, Leo might have done too much. Even if he walks away and allows “WilSon” to be happy, viewers might not be forgiving and certainly won’t forget.
Only time will tell what head writer Ron Carlivati has in store for Greg Rikaart’s character.
