She used a smartphone app to control Julie Williams’ (Susan Seaforth Hayes) pacemaker. She threatened to kill Julie using the app unless Lani followed orders. One of those demands was she dump Eli at the wedding altar in front of all of Salem.

Devastated, Eli turned to the one woman who seemed to be there to pick up the pieces, which was Gabi. Meanwhile, Lani tried to resume her normal life and not let on what was really going on. However, in the end, she felt there was no other option but to leave Salem.
