Dr. Kayla Johnson (Mary Beth Evans) determined that Jennifer needed surgery for her injuries sustained from the fall. However, the operation didn’t go as they expected. It caused the new bride to go into a coma. Each day, Jack Deveraux (Matthew Ashford) would faithfully stay by Jennifer’s side. He stretched her limbs, spoke to her, put her wedding ring back on and held onto hope.

Finally, the day came for her to wake up exactly one year from the day of her accident.
