As many fans know, Stefan was caught in the crossfire between Lani Prince (Sal Stowers) and Stefan’s mother Vivian Alamain (Robin Strasser). Lani ended up making a very deadly decision that might have cost Stefan’s life. Seeing how she was about to get cornered, Vivian grabbed her bags and ran out of Salem as fast as she could. Knowing that her son has been shot, shouldn’t a mother stick around to at least make sure that he is going to survive? That’s what a lot of fans can’t help but wonder. There’s even speculation that this Stefan DiMera might be an imposter as Vivian wasted no time in leaving Salem after all of the drama went down.

The only person who seems to be heartbroken over Stefan is his wife, Gabi Hernandez (Camila Banus). She refuses to leave his side at the hospital. However, Gabi will soon be forced to make a very heartbreaking decision. Days of Our Lives spoilers indicate that it will be up to Gabi on whether or not Julie Williams (Susan Seaforth Hayes) gets Stefan’s heart. If she does, this means that Stefan will be gone forever. Brandon Barash recently announced that he is leaving Days of Our Lives. For a lot of fans, that would make sense for his character has been shot. But there’s also speculation that Stefan might appear after the time jump and as a brand new person. That would be a surprise, right?
