Days Of Our Lives Spoilers: Eric and Sarah Start Getting Close, Rex Shows Up!

Days of Our Lives spoilers tease that just when Eric Brady (Greg Vaughn) and Sarah Horton (Linsey Godfrey) start getting close romantically, her ex, Rex Brady (Kyle Lowder) shows up wanting her back! Spoilers haven’t revealed why there was an apparent falling out between Rex and the mother of his child Emily (uncast infant) Mimi Lockhart (Farah Fath), prompting his return to Salem.

Interesting Days of Our Lives trivia; if Rex looks suspiciously like Brady Black to longtime Days of Our Lives viewers, it’s because Kyle Lowder originated the role of the adult Brady in 2002, and played him until he left the show in 2005. That could be an interesting paternity subplot if Days writers cared to pursue it! Considering Roman Brady, Rex’s father (originally Wayne Northrop, now Josh Taylor) was played by John Black’s (Brady’s father) portrayer Drake Hogestyn for a time, that could work!

Eric just can’t win; even though Brady (Eric Marsolf) recently complained to Chloe Lane (Nadia Bjorlin) that he couldn’t stay in a relationship, Eric seems to have the same problem; the two stepbrothers could find something else to compete over, number of unsuccessful relationships! Now he’s getting closer with Sarah and Rex shows up wanting her back!

It’s unlikely Sarah will take Rex back; after all, we all know the saying about the fury of a woman scorned, and Rex’s dalliance with Mimi while engaged to Sarah, and even a child between them, is certainly something that would be difficult to forgive. Trust has been broken as well; how does Sarah know that Rex wouldn’t go back to Mimi or cheat on her with someone else if she were to take him back?

His apparent abandoning of baby Emily probably won’t go over real well with her either. Just why did Rex take a job in Chicago at the same hospital Sarah had worked at, and now is returning to Salem?
