Days of Our Lives Spoilers: Can Xander Be Redeemed?

Days of Our Lives spoilers tease that the Days of Our Lives powers that be seem to be wanting to redeem Xander Cook Kiriakis (Paul Telfer), or at least make him into a bad boy with a heart of gold!

Days of Our Lives Spoilers – Xander’s Heart Has Changed Since Bonding With Maggie

It is evident to Days of Our Lives viewers that Xander’s heart has changed since his bonding experience with Maggie Kiriakis (Suzanne Rogers) a couple of months ago when he talked about his childhood and how he had grown up to her, and she displayed her motherly side to him.

Xander didn’t have a good example of a mother as a child, or a father, for that matter, and that can affect how someone’s psyche and behavior forms as they grow older. Of course, there is always going to be the discussion among psychologists and behavioral analysts of what shapes a person, nature or nurture, but it would seem that nuture can be a huge factor unless the person has a personality disorder such as narcissism or sociopathy. A narcissistic sociopath usually doesn’t seem to have a conscience at all, and Days of Our Lives viewers can see that Xander at least does have a conscience!

Days of Our Lives Spoilers – Xander Didn’t Care About The Danger He Put Chloe In Down In Mexico

Days of Our Lives viewers will recall that when Chloe Lane (Nadia Bjorlin) was in Mexico, having been held hostage by El Fideo (Andoni Gracia) and his men, which led to the more recent danger to her and the children which led to her moving in with Stefan DiMera (Brandon Barash).

Xander was there also but didn’t offer to rescue her or help John Black (Drake Hogestyn) and Paul Narita (Christopher Sean) to get Chloe back to Salem safely; he took his diamonds as agreed upon and split! He headed right back to Salem where Eric Brady (Greg Vaughan) saw him, called him a pariah, and told him he wasn’t wanted there! Xander, his usual cocky self back then, told him he had as much right there as anyone and went back to his usual tricks shortly thereafter! Xander was nearly as self-absorbed back then as Kristen DiMera (Stacy Haiduk) is now!

Days of Our Lives Spoilers – There Is A World Of Difference In Xander’s Heart And Attitude Recently

Days of Our Lives viewers will also recall that in a recent episode of Days of Our Lives, Xander visibly felt bad when Maggie was upset with him after giving him a second chance and then hearing he had been implicated in the kidnappings of Kate DiMera (Lauren Koslow) and Ted Laurent (Gilles Marini). He wasn’t pleased when Sarah Horton Brady (Linsey Godfrey) also called him on it and said he wanted to be a better person because of her and her mom.

However, Xander still got Eve Deveraux (Kassie DePaiva) a placebo serum to inject Jack Deveraux (Matthew Ashford) with in place of the real memory serum he’d had made up, along with an antidote, in a private lab in the same episode! So Xander still has his sneaky sides, but he wasn’t hardly raised as a child, let alone raised right. He had to play the parent to his alcoholic mother so he’s still got a lot to learn about doing the right things the right way! But at least he’s got the motivation to change, and that’s a start!
