Days of Our Lives Rumor: Hope Cheats On Rafe While He’s Out Of Town

Days of Our Lives rumors tease that while Rafe Hernandez (Galen Gering) “the cat’s” away, that his wife Hope Brady (Kristian Alfonso) and Ted Laurent (Gilles Marini) “the mice” will play!

Days of Our Lives news reveals that Galen Gering will take a short leave of absence from the show to facilitate Rafe’s trip out of the country to rush to ex Sami Brady DiMera‘s (Alison Sweeney) aid over some unnamed emergency!

This won’t be the first time that Rafe has run to Sami’s aid on the spur of the moment; he’s played the hero in many situations she got herself into in the past. The Rafe/Sami story started when he was assigned to guard her when she was in witness protection, and they got involved.

This history rather nicely parallels Hope’s attempt to protect Ted Laurent and their getting involved as well, according to Days of Our Lives spoilers!

Rafe cheated on Hope with Sami before, during his and Hope’s engagement, and Hope very nearly didn’t go through with the marriage after finding out! This latest trip will probably anger Hope at his running off on impulse to help Sami yet again, and she might feel that Sami will always be between them.

It’s obvious that Rafe’s own player nature is what made him assume that Hope had been having an affair with Ted when she was hiding him, and accuse her of it unjustly at that time.

Days of Our Lives Spoilers – Hope And Ted

Hope and Ted had formed somewhat of a bond during that time, and still seem to be somewhat friendlier with each other than would seem appropriate. Perhaps this bond, and Rafe’s history of cheating on Hope with Sami pushes her over the edge and Ted is a convenient shoulder to cry on and things escalate between the two from there!
