Days Of Our Lives News: Tyler Christopher Says Goodbye After Final Stefan DiMera Episode

Days Of Our Lives viewers will see Tyler Christopher for the last time as Stefan DiMera. The actor plays the role for the last time on March 20. After his departure, his character will be portrayed by Brandon Barash, who will make his debut as the new Stefan on March 22.

In his Twitter post, Christopher said his goodbyes to his character and the Days of Our Lives cast and crew.

“Thank you all for the kind farewells. My time on @daysofourlives was nothing short of pure fun. Such a great group of people to work for and be around every day. Please welcome @BrandonBarash into the role. Such a solid actor and an even better person. #nbcdays #stefandimera,” he wrote.

Christopher joined the show in December 2017 and was loved by the fans in an instant. He was part of major storylines, including his romantic relationships with Gabi Hernandez (Camila Banus) and Chloe Lane (Nadia Bjorlin).

The reason behind his decision to leave the show was left undisclosed. The show had no choice but to do an emergency recast. It is also not clear whether Christopher will ever return as Stefan on Days.

Before joining DOOL, Christopher was a cast member on General Hospital, just like Brandon Barash. He played the character Nikolas Cassadine on a recurring capacity between 1996 and 2016. Now that he is leaving Days of Our Lives, fans of the actor can catch him on his new movie projects including Max Winslow and the House of Secrets.

Tyler’s fans commented on social media that they are going to miss him on Salem. Others hope he will return to GH. “Going to miss you Tyler! Love you,” one wrote, “go back to GH we need Nicholas back.”

Brandon Barash is known for his role on General Hospital as Johnny Zacchara. He played the role from 2007 and 2013 and then became a recurring character between 2014 and 2016. He will now be the new face of Stefan on Days of Our Lives, but how long he’ll be taking on that role is still unknown.

Viewers have to wait and see if Barash can match the bar set by Christopher. His other TV credits include Major Crimes, Timeless, Criminal Minds: Beyond Borders, Scorpion, and Good Trouble.
