Days of Our Lives actor Matthew Ashford, who plays Jack Deveraux, attended an exciting event last weekend. His oldest daughter, Grace Ashford, got married. Keep reading to get all the details.
On September 14, Grace Ashford married Michelle Farinella. The bride looked content and happy, and it appears it was an outdoors wedding. The Days of Our Lives actor posted about the event on his Instagram page. He wrote,
“My daughter Grace and me on her wedding day!”
Ashford spoke to Soap Opera Digest about Grace, who already has an incredible career as a reporter. She graduated from Vassar, then got a masters degree in investigative reporting from Columbia University. She got a job with The New York Times and one of her first projects was the Harry Weinstein story. Grace was one of the reporters that won the Pulitzer Prize for the piece.
As many fans know, that story was part of what started the #MeToo movement.
The soap opera actor recently returned as Jack Deveraux, who died several years ago. His story is part of a plot that involves Eve Donovan Deveraux (Kassie DePaiva) and Dr. Rolf (William Utay). The serum was used to bring him back from the dead, but there was a complication. It wiped out his memories. That is the storyline that is currently playing on television screens. Jack and his ex-wife, Jennifer Horton (Melissa Reeves) are working with Dr. Rolf to improve the formula so the mayor can remember his past.
On Days of Our Lives, fans are hoping that Jack and Jennifer get back together. There is also a kidnapping plot that seems to propel the two together. In any case, Matthew is happy to be back on set and fans are just as excited to have Jack back in Salem.
