Days of Our Lives News: Kate Mansi Takes On A New Role – All About Her Salem Comeback

Kate Mansi (Abigail Deveraux) is back on Days of Our Lives, and she is playing a new role—as a director!

Mansi shared on her Instagram some photos behind the scenes and talked about her first day doing her first-ever directing. She posted a photo with all the screens in the room, which she said is special because she took it right before she dives into her new job.

“I’m immensely grateful for the opportunity to have dipped my toe into this field, especially having done so under the care of a fearless female (+fellow Italian!!!) mentor,” Mansi wrote.

“Thank you to everyone who allowed me the privilege of observing & shadowing your work these last few months. I’m in awe of your Matrix world & honored to be among you. And also… I can’t wait for more!!!”

Mansi’s On-Screen Mom Couldn’t Be Any Prouder

Just like any real-life mom, Mansi’s on-screen mother, Melissa Reeves (Jennifer Horton) is so proud to Mansi is now DAYS’ newest director. In her Instagram post, Mansi shared that Missy turned up at the booth to take some photos of Mansi on her first day.

“But after a few snaps I had to literally ask her to leave bc she was blocking all the monitors trying to get a good shot,” Mansi shared. “That’s a Mamma for ya! Thank you Missy, in hindsight I’m so grateful you insisted on ‘just one more picture.’”

Chad and Abby Could Head Back to Salem

Chad DiMera (Billy Flynn) and Abby left Salem for Paris a few months ago after getting married and sealing their happily ever after. DAYS fans, however, are able to continue to follow their story via the DOOL app, which features the couple while they are in Paris.

Recent developments in their story suggest that Abby and Chad could be returning to Salem, which sparks speculations that they are heading back to the daytime soap opera.

The DiMera dynasty is on the brink of extinction, and Tony DiMera (Thaao Penghlis) has been campaigning for Chad’s return. Tony believes Chad is the one who can save their clan. Chad and Abby are also encountering some challenges while they are in Paris, and their marriage could be better off if they return to Salem. Juliet (Rachele Schank) has been eyeing Chad, so unless she moves to Salem too, going back to the U.S. will keep Chad safe from her claws!
