Days of Our Lives Comings And Goings: Alison Sweeney Returns To Salem

“Days of Our Lives” fans rejoice, one favorite character is returning to Salem – Sami Brady. The portrayer, Alison Sweeney, confirmed that she’s taping new scenes for the soap opera, which means she would return to the TV screen next year.

The actress revealed her upcoming return to the show during an interview on the Hallmark Channel’s “Home and Family” talk show. Alison hinted that her character is back and she’ll be causing some trouble in Salem. “I had a lot of fun being there and being a part of the fun,” she added.

Although viewers will be happy to know that she’s coming back, they have to wait until next summer, in August, to see her alter ego once again. She teased, “Hey, Days fans, you’ve got some good stuff coming your way, and my character is definitely causing some trouble.”

With the tip that her character has a lot of things up her sleeve, fans have to tune in to find out what kind of trouble she’ll be in. What will happen when she comes across Stefano DiMera, who is now inhabiting the body of Steve Johnson (Stephen Nicols)?

Viewers may recall that Sami has been with EJ DiMera (James Scott) in Europe as the latter recovers from the injuries he sustained from the DiMera warehouse fire. Since the time jump kicked off, Marlena Evans (Deidre Hall) spoke to Sami via phone but nobody knows what’s going on with the latter’s life.

With this news, fans are wondering how long she’ll stay in Salem and whether EJ will come back, too or if she’ll have a romantic storyline with “Stevano.”

There are also rumors that Sami’s son Johnny DiMera (Aaron and Griffin Kunitz) might make a return to Salem. If that happens, she’ll most likely make sure that her son is far away from “Stevano.”

DOOL Spoilers – Alison Sweeney’s Career

Sweeney made her TV debut at an early age. At the age of five appeared in a Kodak advertisement. She then appeared on “I Can’t Help Saying Goodbye” on the series “Tales from the Darkside.” She then got cast on “Family Man” and “Brand New Life.”

The actress first appeared on “Days of Our Lives” at the age of 16 years old back in 1993 as Samy Bradi. Her other acting credits include “Friends,” “Fear Factor,” “American Dreams,” “Last Vegas,” “Mercy” and “Beat Bobby Flay.
