Days Of Our Lives Coming And Goings: Thaao Penghlis And Leann Hunley To Return

Days of Our Lives spoilers tease that Thaao Penghlis and Leann Hunley, Days of Our Lives’ Andre/Tony and Anna DiMera are set to return to Days of Our Lives this summer!

Thaao made the announcement at the 2019 Daytime Emmys for both of them saying: ““Thank you all from Leann & myself for your continued support. We had a great time celebrating Days & it’s nominees. You will see us on the screen in July. But is it Tony or Andre?”

He hasn’t tweeted anything about the return, but he did tweet: “At the Emmys with Leann Hunley & Lauren Koslow. A life that was Tony & Andre with Anna & Kate. When we are long distance runners perseverance wins out. Celebrating Days.”

Days Of Our Lives News – Andre And Tony Are Presumed Dead

Count Antony DiMera, also known as Tony, actually pre-dated Stefano DiMera (Joe Mascolo) on DAYS, he was introduced in 1981. Stefano came aboard in 1982. One of his main storylines include Tony having been impersonated by Andre, his legal son, for more than 20 years.

Both Andre and Tony are considered Stefano’s sons, Andre having been raised by Stefano, even though Stefano was technically his uncle. Both are also are presumed dead. Andre having been killed by Abigail DiMera (Marci Miller, Kate Mansi) and Tony of a heart attack.

Andre was married to Kate Roberts (Lauren Koslow) while Tony was married to Anna Fredericks (Leann Hunley). Both Andre and Tony appeared to Dr. Marlena Evans’ (Deidre Hall) in an out-of-body experience in March 2019.

Days Of Our Lives News – Will Penghlis Return As Both?

Andre once again impersonated Tony and tried to pull Marlena into hell, then the real Tony helped her back to Earth after she pushed Andre and Princess Gina (Kristian Alfonso) back through the door to hell.

Anna was an ex-wife of Roman Brady (at that time Wayne Northrop) and mother of Carrie Brady (Christie Clark). She became Tony’s secretary, and later married Tony and remained with him until his death, and then left town on Valentine’s Day in 2018. She was held captive by Andre in 1984 and poisoned by Stefano in 2010.

Thaao doesn’t hint that he knows whether he’ll be Tony or Andre, but Days of Our Lives viewers can guess he might be Tony, since Anna is coming back. Or again, he could come back as both Tony and Andre.

Days of Our Lives viewers will have to wait until July. Perhaps Tony, Andre, or both of them were also in that warehouse in Nashville. Or maybe Melaswen still exists somewhere and they were never dead at all!
