Days Of Our Lives’ Chrishell Hartley Suffers Heartbreaking Loss

Chrishell Hartley suffered a heartbreaking family loss on Easter Sunday when her father lost his long battle with cancer. Hartley, who plays Jordan Ridgeway on Days Of Our Lives, posted a family picture of herself in her younger years with her father.

“We lost you today but it was a long terrible battle with cancer that started taking you years ago. I choose to remember you the way you were before it took it’s hold on you. You are at peace now, and ever the Catholic man at heart, I think you chose Easter for a reason. **** I grew up in an unconventional family and my dad was a drummer-the heartbeat of the music,” she posted on Instagram.

“Today we lost the heartbeat of our family but I am happy knowing he took his music to heaven. It just got a lot more rock and roll up there. We love you so much.”

It sounds like Hartley’s father may have been in a rock band and possibly a touring rock band, since she describes their family as “unconventional”. Possibly she and her mother even went touring with him, that definitely could be described as “unconventional’!

Several Instagram pages of condolences from her fans poured in, with over 886 comments in a time span of about three hours according to the Instagram post, with 8,708 “likes” which most people use as acknowledgements as they do in Facebook which also has a “like” status.

Days of Our Lives viewers can tell from the photo posted that Hartley might have been a daddy’s girl and obviously loved her father very much by the words she wrote in his honor.

Chrishell Hartley, formerly known as Chrishell Stause, got her start in acting as Amanda Dillon on the defunct ABC soap All My Children. She is married to Young And The Restless (Y&R) alum and This Is Us star Justin Hartley.

She also played Bethany Bryant on the Y&R prior to landing the role of Jordan, half-sister of Ben Weston (Robert Scott Wilson) on Days of Our Lives. We wish Hartley peace and comfort in her time of loss.
