Days of Our Lives alum Alison Sweeney (Sami Brady) is starring in a new Hallmark Christmas movie produced by Blake Shelton titled Time for You to Come Home for Christmas. Keep reading to get all the details on the holiday flick.
A Hallmark Sequel
According to Entertainment Tonight, the movie is a sequel to Time for Me to Come Home for Christmas. The first installment, which was released last year, was based off of Blake Shelton’s tune, Time for Me to Come Home. It was written in 2012 and Shelton wrote and recorded it with his mom, Dorothy Shackleford. Shelton’s mother also wrote a book with the same name.
Time for You to Come Home for Christmas
Time for You to Come Home for Christmas revolves around Alison’s character, Katherine and her son. The pair come back to Katherine’s hometown to spend the holidays with family. While traveling on a train, Katherine meets a veteran named Jack (Lucas Bryant).
When they thought they were going in separate directions, they discover they are headed to the same place. Then the two get even closer while volunteering at a fundraiser. However, Sweeney’s character has trouble moving on from the death of her husband. As for Jack, he is working on a secret mission, which is why he came to town in the first place.
“As Christmas nears, the two learn of a hidden connection that may be the Christmas miracle they were looking for.”
