Carla has been going through a personal crisis. She knows the majority of Weatherfield will point their fingers at her and blame her for the factory collapse. The supposed accident claimed the life of Rana Habeeb (Bhavna Limbachia).

Rana had just tied the knot with her girlfriend, Kate Connor (Faye Brooks). It was one of the most heartbreaking episodes that fans had seen in a very long time. All that was left of Rana was her body underneath the rubble and devastation, along with her blood-stained wedding dress.

As Carla is trying to put the pieces together as to what happened on that fatal day, it looks like Gary might be looking to stir some trouble for her. He has even threatened to expose Carla for negligence for not making sure that the safety standards were up to date on the factory roof.

And while an investigation is currently underway, Carla now realizes she might have inadvertently caused the structure to collapse. If that weren’t enough, Gary was none too pleased when Peter Barlow (Chris Gascoyne) decided to take Carla away to Southampton during the tragedy.
