Coronation Street Spoilers: Another Death Rocks Weatherfield?

It looks like it’s going to be nothing but gloom and doom at the cobblers for the next several weeks. At least, that’s according to new Coronation Street spoilers. Reports tease that another devastating death might soon rock the residents of Weatherfield. Here’s what you need to know.

One cast member will be blamed for the death of a mystery character who will fall to their death after a roof of a factory collapses. While producers are not sharing many details, we do know that this character will fast become a public enemy and will have no one left to turn to.

With that being said, some are worried that this sounds like Carla, as her mental health has definitely declined in the last several weeks. In fact, Coronation Street fans can expect to see Peter put the blame on Carla for nearly killing his son Simon. Carla’s own brother Aidan also battled with mental health issues before taking his own life.

Head writer and producer Iain MacLeod recently told Britain’s Daily Star: “We’re doing something a little bit stylized and of a type, like with the Ashley story I did at Emmerdale, but not quite as extreme as Corrie’s take on that. It’s a standalone episode that will be mental health focused and Carla focused. It will also be the reveal to the audience of who was behind the factory roof collapsing. It’s a really nice fusion of important, serious drama about mental health.”

Of course, fans will have to tune in to find out what happens in Weatherfield next. Coronation Street airs weeknights on the ITV network and is available on Britbox in the U.S. Check your local listings for times.
