On “Coronation Street,” viewers have been watching Robert Preston (Tristan Gemmill) make a fool out of Michelle Connor (Kym Marsh) as he cheats on her with Vicky Jefferies (Kerri Quinn). In episodes set to air next week, fans will get to see the much-awaited confrontation between the three. Michelle will talk to Robert and Vicky separately, demanding that they tell her the truth about what’s really going on between them.
Michelle will grow more suspicious after Robert gets involved in an accident. He’s driving back from a secret meeting with Vicky. He gets distracted by a call from Michelle and crashes his car.
Michelle immediately rushes to the hospital upon hearing that her fiancé was involved in a car crash. However, she’s left wondering why he’s in a hospital in Macclesfield when he’s supposed to be in Sandbach. She then notices certain things that make her realize that he’s hiding a huge secret.
Robert, who’s still confused after the crash, keeps on mumbling about a baby. She also spots a “big daddy” necklace at his bedside. Michelle confronts him but Robert gives a reasonable excuse. However, Michelle still thinks something is off and enlists the help of Carla Connor (Alison King).
The pair play detective and spies on Robert a few days later. When Robert gets discharged, he comes to a realization that their charade needs to stop. He goes to Vicky’s home to tell her that it’s over.
What he doesn’t know is that Carla and Michelle are watching from a car. When Robert returns to Weatherfield, she confronts him and tells him not to lie because she already knows everything.
Knowing Robert, he’ll most likely make another excuse. But Michelle’s not about to give up. She talks to Vicky, next. Viewers have to sit tight and tune in to find out if Vicky will be honest and come clean.
Kym Marsh had something to say about the upcoming scenes.
“To be honest, I think the signs have always been there, but Robert has been able to explain them. Ryan in particular has been quite suspicious of Robert and there has been a couple of times where Michelle has questioned Robert about why he has done something, but he has always been able to come up with an explanation,” he said.
“I think Michelle has wanted to believe him and she desperately needs some support because of what is going on with Ray, so she is probably clinging on to any stability from her normal life,” she added.
Viewers already know that Kym Marsh is leaving “Coronation Street.” However, they are curious as to whether the character she’s playing will be killed off when she exits the show.
The actress made it clear that her character won’t die. She also added that the reason behind her decision to leave is that she wants to try her hand at something else. Coronation Street fans will have to tune in to find out what will happen next!
