Reese’s gambling was the driving force in his plot to switch Hope Logan’s (Annika Noelle) baby with a stillborn baby. He needed to sell her healthy baby to Steffy Forrester (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) to pay off his debt. He knew if he didn’t pay off his gambling bill, the thugs will come and kill him or go after his daughter, Zoe (Kiara Barnes).

After a well-established doctor is forced to kidnap and swap a healthy baby with a dead one, you’d think it would affect someone. At least, they snap out of it and realize they have a gambling addiction. But no, Reese continues to gamble.

Bold and Beautiful Spoilers Reese Considers Keeping The Money

Reese considers not paying off his gambling debt. He knows that if he doesn’t pay it off, they will come after him. However, he wonders if they knew he ran off with the cash if they ’d leave his daughter alone. He foolishly believes the thug would chase after him and leave Zoe alone.
