5 Things To Know About New The Bold and the Beautiful Newcomer Denise Richards

Denise Richards has long been one of the hottest stars in the entertainment industry. But these days she’s doing more than showing off her model-good looks on social media or working on her latest charity initiative. She’s also pulling in double duty as both a reality television star and a daytime television actress.

That’s right: Denise is not only starring on Bravo’s The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, but she’s about to make her debut on The Bold and the Beautiful. Denise will be playing a character by the name of Shauna Fulton. She’s a single mom from Las Vegas who is coming to town to defend her daughter Florence (Katrina Bowden) after she finds that she’s gotten herself into some serious trouble.

1) Denise was born in Downers Grove, Illinois but made the move to California with her family during her childhood years. She graduated from El Camino High School in Oceanside, California. She’s often noted that she was the only girl on her school baseball team. When she was 15, she appeared in the Double music video, The Captain of Her Heart.

2) During the 1990s, Denise made her mark on Hollywood with a racy role in Wild Things, opposite Neve Campbell. Prior to that, she starred in several different television and movie roles including Married With Children (1991), Beverly Hills, 90210 (1992), Seinfeld (1993), Lois and Clark (1994) and a guest-arc in Melrose Place (1996).

3) Denise’s claim to fame, however, was as the ultimate Bond Girl in the 1999 James Bond film The World is Not Enough. She played a character by the name of Dr. Christmas Jones.

4) Speaking about her famous kiss with Neve on Wild Things, Denise once said, “I don’t know what the big issue is about a kiss with Neve Campbell in Wild Things. It’s a role, and I think a bigger issue is made out of it. It was a part I took and it’s what the character did, so I did it.”

She also added, “Doing love scenes is always awkward. I mean, it’s just not a normal thing to go to work and lay in bed with your co-worker.”

5) Denise has three children, her daughters Sam and Lola, who she shares with her ex Charlie Sheen and Eloise, who she adopted back in 2011. When she’s not working or traveling, Denise admits that the best thing she loves to do is stay home with her family and her four golden retrievers.
