Young and the Restless (YR) Spoilers: Phyllis Realizing She’s Nick’s Second Choice – Sharon Possibility Remains Alive

Phyllis (Gina Tognoni) is realizing that she’s Nick’s (Joshua Morrow) second choice on ‘The Young and the Restless’. Yes, Y&R appears to be furthering a reversal storyline. Whereas Phyllis (Michelle Stafford) supplanted Sharon (Sharon Case) in the mid-2000’s, the recast ‘Red’ (Tognoni) now stands at number two in Nick’s heart as of late 2018.

Nick’s rush to revive whatever type of so-called relationship he has with Phyllis obviously represents desperation. Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott) directly called out her son for attempting the illogical; standing at the altar with Sharon weeks ago and now having Phyllis move into the house he bought for the presumed ‘Shick’ reunion.

Young And The Restless Spoilers – Phyllis Rebounding Too

For her part, Phyllis is also rebounding. She’s clearly reeling after Billy (Jason Thompson) cut her completely out of his life after learning about ‘Phick’s’ cavort during ‘Shick’s’ wedding. ‘Philly’ was always fragile and now it seems almost certainly irreparably broken. Billy genuinely seems to have lost his Phyllis passion, even though she still has feelings for Jack’s (Peter Bergman) brother.

The potential lead tipping point to Phyllis’ full realization of reality came as Sharon unexpectedly arrived at Nick’s marvelously furnished abode this week. Nick’s reaction to Sharon’s sudden appearance and behavior while she was present naturally caused Phyllis to become unsettled. His subsequent request to Phyllis to further deepen their rebound link serves to raise questions, or even to provide devastating answers.

A number of telling scenes don’t provide teasers, but instead confirm that Nick still loves Sharon. Considering Rey’s (Jordi Vilasuso) admission that he still loves Mia (Noemi Gonzalez), this new character option for Sharon may be closed for the foreseeable future. That means Nick remains a possible future mate.

Young And The Restless Spoilers – Still Hope For Sharon And Nick?

The Sharon possibility is something Nick has stated he hasn’t given up on. While Phyllis is with him now, she doesn’t appear to be someone who he would remain with longterm. How, or even if ‘Shick’ still happens can’t be known. But all involved personalities are making these Genoa City days watchable.
