Meanwhile, Phyllis (Gina Tognoni) turns to Kerry (Alice Hunter) for some advice. She alludes to a personal problem and notes that she’s involved with someone she already has a history with. Phyllis is torn about a big decision, but Kerry doesn’t seem to think her guidance is needed. She contends that Phyllis already knows how to handle it deep down.
Later, Phyllis goes to Nick and reveals that she’s ready to move in with him. He’s ecstatic and happily shows her around her new home. They end up making love upstairs, so it’s clear that Phyllis is settling in nicely. Over with Jack (Peter Bergman), he hints that Kerry should come to the Abbott clan’s Thanksgiving gathering. She isn’t interested at first, but eventually gets in touch and accepts the offer.
Across town, Devon (Bryton James) and Nate (Brooks Darnell) patch things up. They’re sorry they let their emotions get the best of them and it came out as anger. Devon comes clean about what a rough time he’s been having. He really misses Hilary (Mishael Morgan), which Nate understands. They talk about their losses and make plans to watch the game with turkey sandwiches later.
Back with Victoria, she wishes Billy (Jason Thompson) could come for Thanksgiving. He knows it’ll be tricky with Victor, so he promises to stop by after her dad leaves. Outside the door of Tessa’s (Cait Fairbanks) place, Mariah looks peeved over the scheme she’s being forced to carry out. However, she sticks to the plan and heads inside with her suitcase.
Tessa gets that their issues won’t be easy to move past, but she really wants to make that happen. They discuss the destruction of the thumb drive and the cash, which Tessa claims to have given to eight different charities around town. She suggests hanging out together, but Mariah insists she needs to work and adds that Tessa shouldn’t wait up.
Mariah heads off to find Victoria, who’s sorry about the mess Mariah’s stuck in. She notes that it won’t last forever and assures Mariah that Rey’s (Jordi Vilasuso) got nothing. Mariah ultimately returns to the studio toting a package. Naturally, it’s the same one Tessa packed up the day before.

Mariah states that the mail lady passed it along, so Tessa opens it and fibs that Crystal (Morgan Obenreder) sent her the teddy bear. She displays the money-stuffed bear proudly on the counter and is undoubtedly pleased with herself for hiding it in plain sight. There’s a whole lot of scheming going on between Mariah and Tessa!
