Young and the Restless Recap Monday, December 31: Police Stop Plane, Rey Arrests Victor

“Young and the Restless” (YR) recap for Monday, December 31, 2018, reveals that over at Devon Hamilton’s (Bryton James) penthouse, Devon tells Ana Hamilton (Loren Lott) she’s a miracle worker and that the New Year’s Eve party decorations look amazing.

Y&R Spoilers Devon’s NYE Party Starts

He plans to say goodbye to this terrible year the best way he knows how. They toast to better times ahead and hug. Abby Newman (Melissa Ordway), Arturo Rosales (Jason Canela), Lola Rosales (Sasha Calle), Fenmore Baldwin (Zach Tinder), and Cane Ashby (Daniel Goddard) arrive. Fenmore tells Ana she looks great and she returns the compliment. Cane orders a scotch and asks the bartender to keep them coming. Devon joins him and advises him to take it easy.

Young and The Restless Spoilers Cane Having Trouble With The Holidays

Nearby, Lola is getting texts from Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) and tells Abby, Arturo, Ana, and Fenmore they broke up. Fenmore offers his shoulder to cry on and she accepts. Ana and Abby decide Lola needs a nudge back toward Kyle. By the bar, Devon asks Cane about Lily Ashby (Christel Khalil). He says she’s looking forward to the holidays being over and doesn’t know how he’s going to manage.

Kyle arrives and Lola gives him a look. She asks if he crashed the party, but he says Abby invited him last minute and he welcomed the chance to see her. Across the room, Devon’s irritated when Ana informs him the songwriter won’t meet with him. Cane asks about Nate and Ana assumes he had an emergency.

Y&R Spoilers Victoria and Phyllis Try To Find Nick

At Victoria Newman’s (Amelia Heinle) house, she leaves Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) another voicemail saying she and Phyllis Summers (Gina Tognoni) want to know what happened to him. After, she and Phyllis worry someone is targeting the Newmans.

Young and The Restless Victor Tells Nick He’s Taken Nikki To Recover

Nikki Newman’s (Melody Thomas Scott) ambulance stops and Nick Newman tells Nate Hastings (Brooks Darnell) they’re at a private airstrip he notices it is one his dad has used before. Nick phones Victoria Newman to update her but George snatches his phone and pulls a gun on them. George takes a call from Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) and declares they have to get Mrs. Newman into the building. Once they’re inside, Victor appears. Victor wants to take Nikki somewhere to recover. He and Nick argue and he advises Nick to say goodbye because he may not see either one of them for quite some time.

Y&R Spoilers Nikki Tells Nick To Listen To Victor

Nick questions if Nikki wants this, and she awakens and tells him to listen to his father. Nate examines her while Nick asks if Victor’s hiding because he’s guilty. Then Nick asks if he killed J.T. Hellstrom (Thad Luckinbill)? Victor scoffs about him believing his father’s capable of murder and plans to clear his name. George reports the jet is ready, so Nick and Nikki say goodbye. Victor informs Nate he’ll be coming with them. Nate resists, but Victor strongarms him into accepting for Nikki’s sake. Once alone with Nick, Victor hopes they’ll all be reunited soon. Nick shakes his hand and says, “You take care of her.” Victor replies, “You know I will.”

Young and The Restless Spoilers – Victoria Worries About Nick

Back at Victoria Newman’s place, she tells Phyllis Summers the line went dead on Nick Newman’s call. She worries something terrible has happened, but Phyllis doesn’t want to go there. Victoria feels they should warn Sharon McAvoy (Sharon Case), and they decide to keep one another company. Victoria has champagne and will crack that bad boy open.

Y&R Spoilers Phyllis Questions Victoria About Billy

Phyllis fishes to find out if Victoria had plans with Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson), but learns he’s hanging out with Traci Abbott (Beth Maitland) and Dina Mergeron (Marla Adams). Over champagne and popcorn, Phyllis keeps trying to get information whether Victoria and Billy friends with benefits? Victoria wonders why she’s so interested if she’s not into Billy. They talk about Phyllis and Nick and ‘going back’. Victoria notes reuniting with J.T. Hellstrom was the biggest mistake of her life. Down to the last swallow of champagne, Victoria toasts Phyllis for helping distract from her problems tonight, then continues worrying about Nikki.

Young and The Restless Spoilers Reed Confesses

Phyllis is hugging her when Reed Hellstrom (Tristan Lake Leabu) arrives. Phyllis goes, and Victoria tells Reed that Nikki went missing and the person who hit her may have taken her. Reed blurts, “No!” He admits he was driving the car.

Rey Rosales (Jordi Vilasuso) surprises Mia Rosales (Noemi Gonzalez) by coming home. She asks about Nikki Newman, but he hasn’t found her. Rey says the force is searching for her and announces he’s taking the night off to ring in the New Year with his wife at a fancy hotel. They get dressed up and take selfies as Rey’s phone sounds repeatedly. She urges him to look at his texts. Rey does, and exclaims; this may blow the case wide open. He’s learned Nick Newman made a call from a private airstrip and his team is headed there now. Mia insists he joins his team.

Y&R Spoilers Rey Arrests Victor

On the aircraft, Victor Newman assures Nate Hastings he’ll look after him and Nikki Newman thanks him. As they prepare to leave, the police arrive, sirens blaring, and the pilot aborts the takeoff. Nikki panics as Rey Rosales boards and arrests Victor.

Mia Rosales is home alone and watches the countdown on TV.

At Devon Hamilton’s place, everyone begins the countdown. Abby kisses Arturo, Ana hugs Devon, and Kyle cringes as Lola kisses Fen. Cane’s passed out on the sofa, and Devon goes to look out the window. And that’s a wrap.
