Two The Young And The Restless Stars Join New CBS TV Show

Two stars from The Young and the Restless have just landed exciting roles with a new CBS drama. According to reports, daytime television alums Alicia Coppola and Sofia Pernas will be starring in the upcoming drama Blood and Treasure, which is set to debut during the summer of 2019.

According to reports, the series is written by Matthew Federman and Stephen Scaia. It’s about a brilliant antiques expert and a cunning art thief who team up to catch a ruthless terrorist. Alicia will play the role of Dr. Ana Castilla, a world-renowned adventurer and archeologist.

Sofia, meanwhile, will play Lexi Vaziri, a passionate, adventurous and charming woman who rebelled against her upstanding father. With two beautiful women in the lead parts, this sounds like a series you won’t want to miss.

Many fans remember Alicia as Dr. Meredith Gates on The Young and the Restless. The last time we saw her in Genoa City was back in 2016. Moroccan-born Sofia played Maris Sierras back in 2015. She went on to play roles in Jane the Virgin and the television series The Brave.

It’s great to see so many soap stars make the successful transition from daytime to primetime television. So far neither Alicia nor Sofia have made any comments about their new role, although once we have more information we will definitely share them with you.In the meantime, don’t forget that The Young and the Restless airs weekdays on the CBS network.
