This is Us Spoilers: Justin Hartley Opens Up About Kevin’s New Love Interest

This is Us star Justin Hartley is opening up about his character Kevin’s new love interest for Season 3. And from what we can tell already, Kevin will be going through some major life adjustments.

According to teasers, all of the Pearson family siblings will be going through plenty of ups and downs, as expected. Kate will be tending to a bed-ridden Toby. She’ll also be visiting a mysterious woman with a grownup Tess. Kevin, meanwhile, is now dating Beth’s cousin Zoe. He ended his relationship with Sophie in Season 2 and now that he’s got a new girlfriend in his life, it will be interesting to see how this will impact Kevin. Justin says that fans are definitely going to see a different side to his character.

“I mean, it’s new, right?” Justin said, according to Pop Sugar. “He’s had his love of his life his entire life. He met Sophie when he was a kid. They got married, then got divorced, had their separate lives, and then kind of got back together, and then it got messed up again. So it’s different for him, someone new.”

Justin also said he’s very excited to see Kevin’s storyline progress in Season 3.

“He’s had a lot [to deal with],” he said. “I mean, he’s got this new person that he met that he might be smitten with, but he’s also managing his addiction and his mental health issues. He’s also got this movie coming out. So if that’s a success, I would like to see how he manages that.”
