The Young And The Restless RUMOR: Catherine Bach Returns For Chelsea’s Funeral?

The Young and the Restless spoilers and comings and goings confirmed earlier this month that Catherine Back is returning to the CBS soap as Anita, Chelsea Newman’s [Melissa Claire Egan] mother.

When Bach announced her CBS soap opera return, Y&R fans just assumed that she was coming back to Genoa City to visit Chelsea and her grandson Connor.  Catherine quickly deleted her post on social media soon after, which raised some suspicions, why was she trying to backtrack and hide her return?

Now that The Young and the Restless spoilers have confirmed that Melissa Claire Egan is exiting Y&R, Catherine Bach’s mysterious return as Anita is making sense, although it’s not looking like the heartfelt reunion that fans were anticipating.

Chelsea’s final scenes are set to air in the coming weeks, the same time that Anita returns.  It’s not a stretch of the imagination to assume that Anita rushes back to Genoa City because of an unexpected tragedy.

Chelsea has found herself in a world of trouble and caught up in a missing money scandal.  Y&R rumors are hinting that the former con-artist will fake her own death and make a run for it, possibly even go in to hiding with her supposed to be dead husband Adam Newman.

If Melissa Claire Egan’s character does die, whether it is faked or real, word on the internet is that Anita is back for her daughter’s funeral and to help with her grandson Connor.
