The Young and the Restless (YR) Spoilers: Victor’s Health a Major Issue – Newman Family in Trouble

Regardless of whether J.T. Hellstrom (Thad Luckinbill) is alive on ‘The Young and the Restless’, Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) is in trouble. His on-air stumbles revealed to the world that the Moustache’s health was deeply affected by the so-called mini stroke that he had in the spring.

As Y&R viewers recall, J.T. was caught by Victor at the Ranch. Mr. Hellstrom was lured there by his nemesis, expecting to find evidence of price-fixing. J.T. wanted to turn that information over to the authorities he’d been pressured to work for after it was learned that he looked the other way regarding Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott) having embezzled funds from Victor. That point of the plot was never fully explained and felt purely like a vehicle to push the overall arc forward.

J.T. had it in for the ‘Black Knight’ due to Colleen’s (Tammin Sursok) tragic death that happened many years ago and was then poked by ‘Pristine’ in modern times. Paul (Doug Davidson) and Christine (Lauralee Bell) prodded an unstable J.T. to do their bidding.

Luckinbill announced during his surprise return to the cast in late 2017, that the storyline could extend into approximately March. It went a bit further than that, as daytime observers later witnessed.

Whether Luckinbill has actually left the cast remains to be seen, as various pieces of circumstantial evidence make it look like J.T. is alive. But the coverup crew, which includes Vickie (Amelia Heinle), Nikki, who became J.T.’s assumed silencer, Phyllis (Gina Tognoni), this crew’s self-appointed fixer, and Sharon (Sharon Case), collectively knows that can’t be logically true.

Meanwhile, Victor obviously rushed himself back to work and is facing the physical and mental consequences of that choice right now. The stroke appears to have affected his processing skills and surely has limited his physical stamina, as has been witnessed by family members, associates, and now the public.

An anonymous leaker smeared Victor’s health records across the internet, with the intent of fueling doubt among Newman’s corporate partners. The result of Victor’s ill-advised appearance on GC Buzz then allowed the business world’s fears about Newman Enterprises’ stability to be supported.

The unknown assailant, be it a somehow living J.T., or whoever, is currently winning. Whether that success endures will be seen this summer on Y&R.
