The Young and the Restless (YR) Spoilers: Victor Pulling Kyle’s Strings – Moustache Incorrigible

The ‘Moustache’ has miraculously recovered on ‘The Young and the Restless’. That was a soapy world record bounce-back time for all known mini-stroke victims. But Victor’s (Eric Braeden) greatest strength remains his ability to manipulate all within his sphere of influence, which currently includes Kyle (Michael Mealor).

Jack’s (Peter Bergman) son holds a major, mostly irrational grudge. When Lachlan Buchanan embodied Kyle, this issue wasn’t nearly as goofy as it has now become. Of course Buchanan’s version of the character jetted off to New York and out of Summer’s (Hunter King) life in 2015. Mealor’s edition recently arrived and is truly playing up the daddy didn’t pay enough attention to me angle in fine, bratty fashion.

Mealor’s excellent addition to the cast has enabled plenty of angst to be spilled across the daytime screen. Y&R loyalists know that the various post-child incarnations of Kyle didn’t always get along with his dad and previously took up with Victor. But what’s happening this spring dwarfs all past temper tantrums.

Kyle calculated that he’d be going nowhere at Jabot so he conspired with Victor to overthrow the family company upon returning to Genoa City. His plans were delayed a bit, but restarted in earnest after he fished a memory stick out of the fireplace.

Ravi (Abhi Sinha) was tasked with recovering the charred contents and did. Kyle then viewed Jack’s shocking paternity news and immediately passed it to Master Victor in hopes of gaining a prominent job at Newman Enterprises.

Victor insisted upon incontrovertible proof of Jack not being an Abbott, but didn’t get that until Kyle came to the Ranch this week to tell the ‘Black Knight’ about Jack’s DNA test stunner. However, the perceived mentor and savior told Kyle that he still needed more. Yes, Y&R fans have seen Victor play these games with oh so many people before.

Whether Kyle ever repairs his relationship with his dad, or gets a meaningful job at Newman Enterprises are linked questions. In the meantime Victor will remain incorrigible and Kyle will remain his puppet.
