The Young and the Restless (YR) Spoilers: Victor Fires At Nick – Shick Unfazed

Victor (Eric Braeden) just can’t help himself on ‘The Young and the Restless’. He’s gained temporary custody of Christian (Jude and Ozzy McGuigen), but apparently that isn’t enough for the ‘Black Knight’. No, he wants to lay into Nick (Joshua Morrow) in public as well.

‘Shick’s’ engagement party was no place for Victor to shoot his mouth off. Yet, the ‘Moustache’ moved and provocative words were spit out, once again.

The Young and the Restless spoilers show Nick is making a bold statement by choosing to not only stay with Sharon (Sharon Case), but also to get engaged. He’s rejected pleas, including Sharon’s selfless one, to cast his first true love off in hopes of possibly making the second round of the Christian custody battle better.

There’s no guarantee that the arbitration judge will change her mind at this point. The theorized ‘Shick’ split could be seen as a ruse that would further deepen subjective legal feelings. And yes, just like all areas of life, all involved with the law weave emotion with logic as they decide the fates of other’s lives.

No one who is self-aware would ever claim, state, or believe that legal decisions are objective. Everything is a guess, based on one’s unique life experiences and developed outlook. So, Nick’s choice to commit to Sharon could sway the arbitration judge to give Christian back to Nick, to impose shared-custody, or to establish visitation rights for one, party, the other, or both.

For many years it seemed like ‘Shick’ would never actually reach the finish line, where their relationship was legalized. Y&R fans recall that Sharon and Nick were almost married in 2014, but then the just-returned and recast Phyllis (Gina Tognoni) stopped it. This time around has been vastly different, as Sharon’s earnest efforts reopened Nick’s heart to love.

It’s always possible that Victor comes to forgive others, as Nick and Sharon have forgiven each other their past indiscretions. While that development seems unlikely, ‘Shick’ fans are cautiously optimistic that their favorite couple will be married and also hopefully regain Christian in the near future.
