The Young and the Restless (YR) Spoilers: Vickie Must Be Careful – Reed and Paul Listening Intently

Vickie (Amelia Heinle) was put in a terrible position on ‘The Young and the Restless’. First, by J.T. (Thad Luckinbill) and then by Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott) and Phyllis (Gina Tognoni). Now Heinle’s character must be careful because her son and the Chief of Police are listening intently to every word she says.

Viewers know that J.T. was out of control. He had been long before returning to Genoa City. Paul (Doug Davidson) knew before Victoria did that J.T. wasn’t who he seemed to be.

Working undercover for the GCPD was one factor that led to Mr. Hellstrom’s spin out of control. It’s fair to argue that Victor (Eric Braeden) would never have been attacked if ‘Pristine’ (Paul and Christine, Lauralee Bell) hadn’t forced J.T. to work undercover for them. That co-opt enabled Luckinbill’s character to release his inner rage against the man he’s held a grudge against for years. Yes, the circumstances linked to Colleen’s (Tammin Sursok) death warped J.T.’s mind and led to his violent actions.

Paul has been in touch with Vickie a few times since Nikki bludgeoned J.T. Even though results will indicate that his heart condition caused the fatality, Nikki’s act in defense of her daughter isn’t fully explainable. So Vickie must remain indefinitely guarded whenever she’s questioned about the not dearly departed father of her first-born son.

As for Reed (Tristan Lake Leabu), he naturally has questions about his father, including Where is he? Why hasn’t he been in contact? Why is his mom speaking about him in the past tense?

Reed was present in D.C. So he does have experience with the changes his dad went through while he was living with Mackenzie (Kelly Kruger) and the kids. But Reed never witnessed what J.T. did to Vickie, or to Victor.

Vickie knows that the greatest consequence she’s facing is that she’s Reed’s only surviving parent. J.T. is gone and she hopes her son never learns what really happened. If he does, Vickie’s relationship with him will be broken and possibly unrepairable.
