The Young and the Restless (YR) Spoilers: Vickie and J.T. Must Work Together – Reed Needs Both Parent’s Guidance

Reed (Tristan Lake Leabu) needs both of his parents on ‘The Young and the Restless’. Common sense and historical reality confirm that children naturally benefit by having a dad and a mom around. Yes, J.T. (Thad Luckinbill) and Vickie (Amelia Heinle) must offer the guidance their son needs.

Luckinbill has fit nicely back into Y&R’s cast, as though he was only gone for a short period. Actually, it was seven years. Excellent actors make their work look easy, as is the case with this performer and his colleagues.

Leabu is a fine young actor in his own regard. He’s consistently evidenced a consistent range of believable emotions that viewers of all ages can relate to. That’s one reason why his current parent issues and girlfriend problems hit home so easily. Another would be the good scripts he’s been given.

Mattie (Lexie Stevenson) was surprised that J.T. thanked her for having called the police. She felt compelled to do so because Reed put himself in danger. Mattie cares for Reed, which is something Cane (Daniel Goddard) is coming around to accepting. However, Mr. Ashby does have a ways to go in this regard.

Vickie and J.T. had a good heart-to-heart at Crimson Lights. They acknowledged their own missteps as parents, while also recognizing that an opportunity exists for them to be there, together, for Reed right now.

Vickie was touched when J.T. recently admitted that he’d overreacted years ago, in having taken full custody of Reed. For his part, Mr. Hellstrom wants to focus on the child he has in Genoa City because ‘Mack’ (Clementine Ford) has opted to end their marriage in D.C., where his two younger children live.

Y&R fans likely feel that there is potential for ‘J.T.V.’ to become a couple again. While nothing is certain on the soaps, both parties are single and have maintained positive feelings for the other.

Whether love blossoms this winter, or by spring is unknown. But Reed will be J.T. and Vickie’s focus indefinitely. And with that two one-time lovebirds might eventually recouple.
