The Young and the Restless (YR) Spoilers: Vickie and J.T. Act Recklessly – Going Public Isn’t Smart Right Now

Vickie (Amelia Heinle) and J.T. (Thad Luckinbill) didn’t need to be found out on ‘The Young and the Restless’. But Victor (Eric Braeden) walked in while they were embracing in the suburbs of Genoa City. Considering J.T.’s precarious position, among other factors, it wasn’t smart that ‘JTV’ allowed that to happen.

Of course, it’s never good to give the ‘Moustache’ knowledge of anything one doesn’t want him to know. As expected, he bee-lined to Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott) and told her what was witnessed. Vickie’s mother wasn’t pleased, after having gone a recent verbal round with her former son-in-law.

Mackenzie (Clementine Ford) wants out, as Y&R fans know. Whether that off-screen character is eventually returning, in the form of the same actor or a recast, isn’t yet known. In any regard, ‘Mack’ would have much stronger grounds to end her union with J.T. and take full custody of their two children if she learns what Mr. Hellstrom has been doing. Might Nikki advise her of said news?

The seeming reunification of Y&R’s one-time couple has progressed rapidly. Obviously, Luckinbill’s return to the cast late last year implied that J.T. and Vickie would revive. As an aside, viewers also wonder if both actors are interested in renewing their off-screen love. That would be nice.

Heinle and Luckinbill were married for years in real life and had children together. Their announced divorce last year seemed to preclude Luckinbill’s return, yet it happened, which seems encouraging.

It would be in J.T.’s best interests to legally resolve all issues with Mackenzie before openly moving on, or back, to Victoria. Together, they can offer Reed (Tristan Lake Leabu) a more structured parenting approach, especially if they officially get back together in the near future.

The potential sequel to ‘JTV’ would find a more mature couple. Yes, they are still passionate people, but J.T. and Vickie are also more seasoned. Possibly, in time and with consistent effort these one-time love birds will recouple.
