The Young and the Restless (YR) Spoilers: Tony The Lawyer is Single, Like Ashley – A New Romance?

The Young and the Restless (YR) Spoilers: Tony The Lawyer is Single, Like Ashley – A New Romance?Tony (Michael Masini) is the new guy on ‘The Young and the Restless’. Who is he? A lawyer Ashley (Eileen Davidson) hired and oh yeah, he’s single. Yes, both potential personal matters and legal issues are linked to a larger, solid storyline.

Listed as a secondary character on the credits, it’s possible that Attorney Kingsman serves his legal purpose and then sporadically appears in Genoa City, or completely disappears. But Y&R wrote a personal connection between Tony and Michael (Christian Le Blanc) into Masini’s debut episode, which may have been the beginnings of a backstory.

Ashley recently dropped Ravi (Abhi Sinha). She gave him a version of the “Let’s just be friends. It’s not you, it’s me.”, speech. Mr. Shapur was devastated and seems unlikely to keep fighting, as his love interest’s directive wasn’t born of reactionary emotion, but rather apathy. ‘Rashley’ fans shared Ravi’s sadness.

Considering Ashley’s voluntary solo status, savvy soap fans took note that Tony voluntarily offered comments about his being available. So of course that portends toward the possibility of romance with Miss Abbott.

Regarding the battling Abbott siblings legal issues, an apparent mediation is forthcoming. Michael skillfully coached Jack (Peter Bergman), while both parties knew Tony was watching. Hopefully the Jabot CEO matter will be handled so that Ashley and Jack are able to focus on Dina (Marla Adams), who’s condition is deteriorating.

And how about Adams astonishing performance? It easily ranks with the best delivered by any actor on this show, or arguably anywhere in daytime, in many years. Adams’ portrayal of a poor soul whose mind is being ravaged by Alzheimer’s is as heartbreaking as it is memorizing.

All hail the scripts Adams, Bergman and Davidson have been given. Their individual and collaborative efforts are consistently outstanding.
