The Young and the Restless (YR) Spoilers: Tessa Deserves Respect – Noah Needs To Back Off

Noah (Robert Adamson) went way overboard after dumping Tessa (Cait Fairbanks) on ‘The Young and the Restless’. The behavior he exhibited at the Top of the Tower was outrageous. He owes his former and potentially future girlfriend an apology.

While Mariah (Camryn Grimes) can now claim credit for being compassionate, she, like her brother, has also treated Tessa badly. Sharon (Sharon Case) wouldn’t advise either of her adult children to act as they have. So why have they created conflict?

Tessa isn’t responsible for how Noah and Mariah reacted to her, or toward each other. Miss Porter chose to move to Genoa City. She also opted to become involved with the Newman family and by extension, Sharon’s clan. Proximity never gave Noah and Mariah the right to step over the boundary line of decency, yet they did.

Mariah did the right thing by explaining herself to Tessa. As implied earlier in this feature, she is also trying to help this recently homeless person gain shelter. That act of kindness went a long way to reestablishing trust between Mariah and Tessa.

Noah should take a lesson from his sister. While it’s somewhat understandable that his feelings were hurt by what he learned recently, there was no call to speak to Tessa as he did at the Top of the Tower.

His use of alcohol also can’t be blamed as fueling the first. Noah’s inhibitions were lowered and he allowed his inner thoughts to leak out of his mouth. Tessa was obviously hurt by what was said and wouldn’t be blamed if she is unable to trust Noah ever again.

At this point Tessa should consider staying focused on her job at the Hamilton Winters Group, slowly repairing her friendship with Mariah and maintain indefinite space between herself and Noah. Possibly, in time, all three souls will heal. If that were to happen, Y&R’s viewers would learn what’s capable of developing. But in the meantime, baby steps are recommended.
