The Young and the Restless (YR) Spoilers: Shick Wedding Planned For October – Rey Switches Roles With Phyllis This Time?

Rey (Jordi Vilasuso) is getting to know Sharon (Sharon Case) on ‘The Young and the Restless’. The month of ‘Shick’s’ wedding was just revealed, with it being set for October. But will Y&R’s newest character disrupt those long-awaited nuptials?

Vilasuso’s alter ego is quickly becoming a friend to Sharon and could surely become more. But enough isn’t known about the elder Rosales’ brother to mark that assessment as certain. Though it would be easy to telegraph ‘Shey’ eventually.

Might Y&R be leading viewers to another ‘Shick’ reunion failure? This split could involve Nick’s (Joshua Morrow) dalliance with Phyllis (Gina Tognoni) being exposed, Sharon’s telegraphed link to Rey forming, or a combination of both sinking the once and expected super couple from getting remarried.

Devoted fans recall that Sharon and Nick reunited four years ago and then actually made it to the altar. Tognoni’s recast character awoke from her coma and hitched a ride to Genoa City in a truck driven by actor Tom Hallick (Brad Eliot).

That original Y&R cast member appeared in the show’s very first scene in 1973. Hallick’s doctor turned journalist character, who remained on Y&R through 1978, was a passenger in that iconic moment. He became the truck driver in 2014, with Tognoni saying his lines. After exiting the truck in GC, Phyllis stopped ‘Shick’s’ ceremony by revealing that Sharon had withheld information from Nick about Summer’s (Hunter King) paternity.

Sharon has no idea that Nick and Phyllis momentarily reconnected in recent weeks. Her renewed love is in the process of transforming to a derivative form of Victor (Eric Braeden), or some alternate edition of Adam (most recently played by Justin Hartley). ‘Shick’ will certainly be impacted in some way when Sharon learns about ‘Phick’s’ interplay.

Rey’s projected involvement with Sharon could also be exposed to Nick just prior to the wedding day. That drama would at least endanger this fabled couple’s current attempt to restate their love and restore their family. Hardcore ‘Shick’ fans aren’t sure if their favorite pairing will actually remarry, which makes the current storyline compelling soap.
