The Young and the Restless (YR) Spoilers: Shauna Urges Hevon Reunion – Devon Not Currently Open to Hilary’s Hopes

Shauna (Camryn Hamm) sees the spark between her mentor and Devon (Bryton James) on ‘The Young and the Restless’. But Mr. Hamilton told his ex-wife that she should tell her charge to focus on business.

Hilary (Mishael Morgan) is honestly trying to improve herself. She hasn’t yet realized though that she shouldn’t be trying to prove herself to Devon. She sold GC Buzz to him, but not her soul.

Devon was recently surprised to learn that Hilary skipped out on her Hilary Hour live stream because she’d gone to be with Shauna at the hospital, where her brother was admitted due to an addiction-related issue. But that revelation didn’t serve to sway Devon’s feelings toward romantic reconciliation with Hilary.

Seasoned Y&R observers know that Devon’s trepidation is understandable. He was burned by Hilary during ‘Hevon’ Part I’s infamous run. Even acknowledging Hilary’s early-life issues, fans of Morgan’s character must admit that her character was mostly responsible for the disintegration of that first marriage go-round.

It proved worthwhile for Devon and Hilary to see other people after they amicably divorced. Their mutual legal sever also appeared to immediately improve odds that ‘Hevon’ Part II could happen at some point.

Hilary’s desire to have a baby is real. After ending her scientific pursuit of that goal, she openly asked Devon to be the father of her hoped-for child. He not only turned her down, but, as previously referenced, advised Hilary that there’s nothing romantic between them.

At this point he’s not open to any of Hilary’s hopes that involve him, but that doesn’t mean he will always be closed to possibilities. Subconsciously, he’s maintained ties to Hilary because he wants her in his life, not just as part of the Hamilton Winters Group.

So, Devon can suggest that Shauna doesn’t know what she’s talking about. He can turn Hilary down flat, repeatedly. But the longer Miss Curtis stays within his proximity, the more likely it is that she’ll also become personally involved with him again. And that is, arguably, is what Devon will eventually realize. He just hasn’t reached that point yet.
