The Young and the Restless (YR) Spoilers: Sharon’s Choice Proves Fateful – Reveals Test Shick’s Strength

Sharon (Sharon Case) wants to tell Nick (Joshua Morrow) the truth on ‘The Young and the Restless’. Simultaneously, Nick also wants Sharon to know about ‘Phick’. Either reveal will test ‘Shick’s’ strength.

The choice Sharon expressed to Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott) affirmed what her once and potentially again mother-in-law believes. Case’s character has matured and times have changed. However, Nikki doesn’t want Sharon to be truthful with her son in this specific instance.

Instead of concealing what she knows, Sharon wants Nick to know everything about J.T.’s (Thad Luckinbill) death before the upcoming October wedding date. To be specific, that would mean Nick would be told that Nikki hit J.T. over the head in order to get him off Vickie (Amelia Heinle), who had already been verbally and physically attacked in her home last spring.

Sharon would also need to tell Nick that Phyllis (Gina Tognoni) took charge of the fallout. She led Nikki, Vickie, and Sharon to coverup what happened. Together the ladies then took J.T. to Chancellor Park, where he was unlawfully buried.

To their credit, Sharon would also tell Nick that Vickie wanted to report what happened and that she (Sharon) supported his sister, but that Phyllis convinced everyone to remain silent and that Nikki encouraged the assessment. How Nick reacts to this dramatic reveal depends upon whether he tells Sharon about ‘Phick’ first.

What would be more devastating and potentially wedding plan-ending; Sharon learns that Nick and Phyllis reconnected during a moment when he felt all was lost between he and Case’s character, or Nick learns about the J.T. matter?

Either secret’s outing will smash emotional buttons. The Christian (Jude and Ozzy McGuigen) incident and Sharon’s past threat to blackmail Nick, among many other plot points would be tapped if Nick is told the truth, which Sharon knows.

Nick understands that telling Sharon about ‘Phick’s’ recent revival will reintroduce the relationship that served to end ‘Shick’ Part I. That has the potential to erase Sharon’s rediscovered love.

Sharon’s choice to tell the truth will prove fateful, unless Nick speaks first. But in that scenario, ‘Shick’s’ future would also be in jeopardy.
