The Young and the Restless (YR) Spoilers: Sharon Remains Conflicted – Nick’s Search for J.T. Continues

Sharon (Sharon Case) never liked Phyllis’ (Gina Tognoni) plan on ‘The Young and the Restless’. Tognoni’s character oddly took control of the cover-up which resulted in J.T. (Thad Luckinbill) being buried in Chancellor Park. Now, Nick’s (Joshua Morrow) ongoing efforts to locate his father’s attacker is putting Sharon in an awkward spot.

Phyllis would love if this secret served to break the trust that was just reestablished between Nick and Sharon. It took years for ‘Shick’s’ bond to reform. Fans also realize that this one-time couple is as close to actually recoupling as it’s been at any time, including 2014. That was the year the then-recast Phyllis returned to literally stop their wedding at the church.

Victor (Eric Braeden) told Nick that J.T. was the person who had assaulted him. That set Morrow’s character on a quest to find the criminal. He was initially pushed off by Vickie and her crew but surely will poke holes in their collective story with effort over time.

An invented series of events had Sharon arrange a ‘Girls Night’ party for Vickie (Amelia Heinle) to help her cope with the dissolution of her just-realized reunion with J.T. Little did Sharon know that she, Phyllis and Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott) would become entangled in a two-part crime. Of course, many would argue that the first part was self-defense.

As an aside, Nikki has now been involved in three offings, all of which she claims to play the innocent role. Scott’s character just reminded the audience that she stopped her father. J.T. was just sent to the otherworld, as was seen. But earlier this decade she emitted yet another act of self-defense. Diane Jenkins (Maura West) was beaten back in 2011. Yes, this is an interesting legacy character for sure.

Circling back to Sharon, her conflict remains to keep the secret while also not alienating Nick. Her aim for a full reconciliation now appears conflicted and appears likely to reach a climax point this spring.
