The Young and the Restless (YR) Spoilers: Sharon Distracts Nick – Togetherness Delays Inevitable Reveal

Sharon (Sharon Case) was scared that Nick (Joshua Morrow) was pressing too hard on ‘The Young and the Restless’. After having him promise to stay away from danger, Nick then went on the ‘Hilary Hour’ and offered a fifty-thousand dollar reward for information leading to the capture of J.T. Hellstrom (Thad Luckinbill). That led to Sharon taking matters into her own hands, literally.

Y&R crossed a threshold by having Nick move back into the cottage in recent weeks. He did so because Sharon offered him and Christian (Jude and Ozzy McGuigen) a safe harbor from the emotional storm Chelsea (Melissa Claire Egan) created when leaving Genoa City in a huff earlier this year.

Nick’s head was turned by Sharon in recent days. He arguably hadn’t evidenced that level of romantic interest since ‘Shick’ stood at the altar in the fall of 2014, which was when the recast Phyllis (Gina Tognoni) triumphantly burst into the church and stopped remarriage plans.

‘Shick’ fans are sorry to see Sharon going along with Phyllis’ and Nikki’s (Melody Thomas Scott) coverup plan. Doing so puts Case’s character in real danger of losing Nick, eventually, regardless of how cozy they’ve gotten.

Nick values honesty. He came to trust Sharon even after the Sully-is-really-Christian stretched arc played out. As Y&R watchers recall, he tipped Sharon off to Scott’s (Daniel Hall) involvement with Abby (Melissa Ordway) and then, as noted, appreciated the offer to move back to ‘Shick’s’ original honeymoon home.

Sure, Nick’s mood will be affected now that he and Sharon are romantically involved again. Who knows, depending upon what develops with the J.T. investigation, Sharon might push hard for a full-blown ‘Shick’ reunion.

But no matter what happens, when Nick learns that Sharon was involved in the coverup of Nikki’s crime (not reporting a death) and then helped to bury the body at Chancellor Park, he’ll rightfully feel that trust was betrayed. Whether that serves to end wherever this reforming couple is at that point in time is unknown. So all Y&R fans must keep watching the show and checking this site with regularity in order to stay apprised.
