The Young and the Restless (YR) Spoilers: Sharon and Rey’s Bond Deepens – Future Couple Forming

Sharon (Sharon Case) and Rey (Jordi Vilasuso) are suspicious of each other on ‘The Young and the Restless’. Yet, both characters are bonding. The predictable result would be that ‘Shey’ will become one of Y&R’s next couples after and because of the result of the current storyline.

It seems odd to be projecting Sharon with some other guy as ‘Shick’s’ long-teased wedding arrives. Hardcore viewers know that this remarriage nearly happened four years ago, but was stopped by Phyllis’ (played by then newly recast Gina Tognoni) awakening from a coma, country-cross to Genoa City, Wisconsin, and bust-in to Y&R’s church setting in the fall of 2014.

Beyond fan’s understandable jitters about any possible maladies that might interrupt ‘Shick-again’, there are two real problems that could either block the nuptials, or cut marital bliss off in the immediate future. One issue involves Rey discovering that Sharon is part of the coverup crew, which could result in her imprisonment. The other involves Nick’s (Joshua Morrow) withheld, one-time dalliance with Phyllis.

In what may have been his last act, or the last act viewers will receive in awhile, Paul (Doug Davidson) approved of Rey’s idea to hire Sharon. She’s become a victim’s advocate, which is purely a ruse to try and use Sharon to gain information about the open J.T. (Thad Luckinbill) case.

Sharon grasps what Rey is doing, but hasn’t let him know that. Her perceived personal charge is to dig for whatever information detective Rosales is working on regarding the unresolved mystery surrounding J.T.’s supposed disappearance. Early progress purely includes finding Mr. Hellstrom’s folder on Rey’s desk, but not learning much.

Now that Rey has accepted Sharon’s offer to move into the upstairs apartment, it’s clear that Y&R wants to write both characters into each other’s path. That can only lead to repeated personal contact now to be seen at work and at Rey’s new home. From that, when it’s eventually recanted, ‘Shey’s’ relationship will have sparked.
