The Young and the Restless (YR) Spoilers: Sharon and Nick Aren’t Done – Shick Revival Still On

The Young and the Restless (YR) Spoilers: Sharon and Nick Aren't Done – Shick Revival Still OnFans of ‘The Young and the Restless’ needn’t worry, the ‘Shick’ revival is still happening. Of course, one needs to be a fan of allowing other people to explore their own relationships in order to be okay with Sharon (Sharon Case) and Nick (Joshua Morrow) getting back together.

Count Phyllis (Gina Tognoni), Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott) and Vickie (Amelia Heinle) out as ‘Shick’ Part II supporters. Each lady has already chimed in, chiding Sharon’s negative influence on Nick in each instance.

Mariah (Camryn Grimes) is in a different category. She’s concerned that her mom will have her heart broken, but isn’t opposed to Nick per se. Considering that she lives in the cottage with both people, Mariah will maintain her prime seat as this rematch develops. That perspective will allow her to gauge in real time how this repaired duo flows.

It was merely a head-fake when Sharon seemingly decided to kick Nick out of the cottage. She wasn’t mad with him, but sensed that it would be best for him and Christian (Jude and Ozzy McGuigen) to move on. That impulse came after Nick didn’t invite Sharon to be part of his Rainbow Gardens meeting. Sharon took that as meaning she wasn’t a key part of his life.

Executive producer and head writer Mal Young is addressing an outstanding issue that Y&R appeared to be resolving in 2014. Four years ago Sharon and Nick had gotten back together and were standing at the altar.

Phyllis (as played by the just recast Tognoni, who assumed Michelle Stafford’s original role), stopped the wedding before vows were spoken. Her arrival served to split the almost-restored Shick, as a paternity issue involving Summer (Hunter King) was exposed.

Nick’s trust was again broken through the Sully-is-actually-Christian storyline that came to its climax last year. But that issue was reborn in recent weeks as Sharon learned Christian was actually Adam’s (Justin Hartley) son and enlightened Nick.

The second Christian reveal, along with Nick having exposed Scott’s (Daniel Hall) duplicity served to restore trust between the reforming pairing. And now, after long last, supporters of this one-time couple’s restoration will be able to enjoy (hopefully) Shick Part II.
