The Young and the Restless (YR) Spoilers: Sharon and Abby Engage in Serious Smackdown – Scott Stands Between Two Loves

Sharon (Sharon Case) and Abby (Melissa Ordway) go at it on ‘The Young and the Restless’ this week. Scott (Daniel Hall) believes in his mind that he loves both women, when actually only one has captured his heart. Yes, that classic soapy scenario naturally provokes a fierce response.

Nick (Joshua Morrow) saw ‘Scabby’ kissing at the Ranch on New Year’s Eve and felt compelled to tell his one-time bride what happened. Upon being informed of what happened Sharon then opts to verbally and physically confront Nick’s sister.

Y&R fans appeared to offer a mixed reaction to ‘Shott’, which may have enabled that couple’s current romantic trouble, or destruction as time will tell. But there are no serious questions about who Scott is most attracted to. Yes, that would be Abby.

Age-appropriateness is a divisive subject among more emotional minds. Lauren (Tracey Bregman) didn’t like it from the beginning when the 10-plus-year-older Sharon first made eyes at her son. But the heart wants what it wants and for Scott that was Ordway’s similar-age character.

The issue of attractiveness isn’t open when comparing Sharon to Abby. Both women are smart and gorgeous. However, like almost every soap character, they also have their quirks. So Scott was eventually going to face unusual circumstances no matter which woman he chose to couple with. And let’s be clear, in this instance, he’s doing the choosing as neither lady is seeking another man.

A natural chemistry was seen between Scott and Abby from nearly the moment that Victor (Eric Braeden) first paired them within the bounds of Newman Enterprises. Workplace proximity enabled a personal relationship to form. Then there was that dramatic event in the storage unit and ‘Scabby’s’ storyline moved forward.

So, Sharon tells Abby she knows what’s been going on after which by of Scott’s love interests begin the smackdown. Ouch!

It will be interesting to see what Sharon does next. Y&R has refreshed Case’s character to normal status. Here’s hoping that continues, as Scott was hardly the love of her life.
