The Young and the Restless (YR) Spoilers: Robert Adamson Deserves More Screen Time – Noah Welcomed In Genoa City

Robert Adamson (Noah) always delivers consistent performances on ‘The Young and the Restless’. With that point in mind, Y&R fans were glad to see a key Newman legacy character back in Genoa City.

Soap devotees can thank Jack (Peter Bergman) for ensuring that Noah was present at his parents proposed remarriage. While this long-awaited event was upended by Sharon’s (Sharon Case) knowledge of ‘Phick’s’ revival and in-vow dress down of Nick (Joshua Morrow), at least the setup allowed Adamson’s character to return.

Adamson’s change to recurring status earlier this year enabled Noah’s write-out. He left town due to what developed with Tessa (Cait Fairbanks). Noah then accepted a job with Newman Enterprises in Mumbai so he could clear his head.

Victor (Eric Braeden) and Nikki’s (Melody Thomas Scott) first grandchild was SORAS’d in 2012, when Sharon and Nick’s first-born child became an adult. His name was chosen due to the perilous days this character spent on earth after being born. Noah survived the storm, thus the cool moniker.

In addition to his obvious talent, as part of an ensemble that’s filled with many other fine actors, Adamson’s character has unfinished business to resolve in GC. As was briefly hinted, the unresolved nature of his broken relationship with Tessa should be brought to a more compact conclusion, or at least be addressed through a number of scenes that allow Adamson and Fairbanks to share multiple dialogue pages. The resultant conflict that exists with his stepsister Mariah (Camryn Grimes) can also be worked through as well.

As ‘Shick’s’ oldest offspring, with Faith (Alyvia Alyn Lind) being the younger, Noah is in a seasoned position. He’s lived through Sharon and Nick’s many tumultuous periods and might be able to help them either reconcile, or reach some type of emotionally negotiated time out before simply trashing remarriage plans.

The Newman family stands as Y&R’s preeminent clan. Noah, being a generational heir to Victor’s throne, still chose to accept his father’s offer to head Dark Horse’s London operation. That plot device was needed in order to reasonably explain Noah’s continued off-camera presence.

While the length of Adamson’s stay isn’t certain, here’s hoping that Noah is seen more often. Y&R would benefit from his return to regular contract status, if possible, as well.
