Sharon (Sharon Case) must stand strong on ‘The Young and the Restless’. She needs to recognize that Phyllis’ (Gina Tognoni) threat is actually fear in disguise. By telling Paul (Doug Davidson) what transpired during ‘Girls Night In’ she’ll do what’s right, instead of being bullied by two characters who are covering their crime.
Phyllis threatened to pull the mental health care if Sharon follows through on telling Paul what really happened to J.T. (Thad Luckinbill). While Vickie (Amelia Heinle) has genuinely been remorseful about the fatal event, she’s also been dealing with the shock of her relationship has ended. That factor likely makes Sharon the most likely to come clean to the authorities.
Vickie’s first impulse was to call the police after J.T. admitted to attacking Victor (Eric Braeden). Nikki’s (Melody Thomas Scott) first impulse was to pick up an iron poker and conk J.T. over the head after she saw that he daughter’s life was being threatened.
Phyllis’ first impulse was to coverup Nikki’s act and to discard of J.T.’s body. Sharon, like Vickie’, wanted to contact the police immediately after the tragedy happened. That was and remains the right thing to do because Nikki was simply protecting Vickie’s life. However, Phyllis and Nikki then went off-course by dealing with Mr. Hellstrom’s remains illegally.
Y&R finally wrote Case’s character back to respectability after many years of Sharon being marginalized within Genoa City. The writing staff will now reveal its hand about Sharon’s future as the current storyline plays out.

She might not be initially believed. But unless Phyllis, Nikki, or even Vickie unearthed J.T.’s body from Chancellor Park, she merely has to direct Paul and his team to the burial site at the Park where said evidence can be located.
Sharon already regained control over her life. She’s on her way to developing a refreshed relationship with Nick (Joshua Morrow). Yes, the Newman response will surely be fierce, as Nikki’s full actions will be defended. Phyllis will spew lies, as usual. But Y&R will reconfirm that one of its great legacy characters has been restored is Sharon stands strong and tells the truth.
