The Young and the Restless (YR) Spoilers: Phyllis Pushes Chelsea’s Buttons – Jordan Linked To Ex-Partner

Phyllis (Gina Tognoni) instantly chomped the bit on ‘The Young and the Restless’ and she’s not about to give it up. Chelsea (Melissa Claire Egan) is guilty. The question is, how will Phyllis prove what she fully expects is true?

Sharon (Sharon Case) inadvertently tipped Phyllis off to the loot that was purportedly found at the penthouse. Phyllis knew who was scamming Fenmore’s as soon as Lauren’s (Tracey Bregman) top executive realized that Chelsea stashed hoards of case.

Phyllis wasn’t fazed by the shock of learning that Chelsea 2.0’s founder was also the person who established a clone website that was used to steal and then launder money. Of course savvy soap fans, which means all devoted observers, also weren’t swayed that Phyllis was being purposely written into this storyline.

Tognoni’s alter ego hasn’t been overly involved in deep plot lines lately. So giving Phyllis 2.0 (as Michelle Stafford was Phyllis 1.0) something meaningful makes sense, while also potentially establishing her as an option for Nick (Joshua Morrow) moving forward.

Meanwhile, Darnell Kirkwood’s (Jordan) return to Y&R adds intrigue. Has Chelsea been working with Jordan during this time, as the conversation these ex-partner’s had a Crimson Lights appeared to imply?

The forced sit-down Jordan had with Phyllis and Hilary (Mishael Morgan) allowed Mr. Wilde’s skill set to be used. As he later told Chelsea, Jordan led with the truth then threw shade on suspicions both women. He asked the interrogators why Chelsea would be stealing money when she had plenty and was living with a Newman? The query allowed him to leave the meeting without being turned into the authorities, as Hilary threatened to do.

Separately, it must be said that Nick’s blind faith in Chelsea is a bit much to digest. Two rounds of Phyllis’ accusations, followed by the conversation Nick caught Chelsea having with Jordan at Crimson Lights would normally have provoked questioning from the ever-suspicious Mr. Newman. Those were odd responses unless Nick is concealing his own feelings while he’s conducting his own independent investigation, or is actually preparing for whatever the truth may be.
