The Young and the Restless (YR) Spoilers: Philly Must Move – Summer’s Philadelphia Seduction Plan

A coy play on words was used on ‘The Young and the Restless’. ‘Philly’ is the nickname for Phyllis (Gina Tognoni) and Billy’s (Jason Thompson) pairing. While Philly is the shortened version those who live in southeast Pennsylvania originally developed when referring to Philadelphia. Both monikers are about to converge on Y&R.

Summer (Hunter King) has her sights set on Billy. Kyle (Michael Mealor) accurately labeled her interest as an obsession, while also placing a bet on whether she would be able to reach her initially stated goal.

Referencing Kyle’s sports car as the material possession prize she’s seeking, Summer said that she wasn’t going to let Lauren’s (Tracey Bregman) rejection of her marketing appearance offer dissuade the ‘Silly’ plan. Kyle didn’t mention it, but he’s actually hoping Summer’s plan fails. If it does, ‘Syle’ will be revived.

Before traveling to attend a business event in Philadelphia, Billy told Phyllis that it was time for them to move. ‘Philly’ fans collectively screamed, “Thank goodness!”, as the duo has been living in Summer’s danger zone since she returned to Genoa City a few months ago.

Phyllis is finally wise to Summer’s game. That knowledge was furthered when she walked in on her daughter, who didn’t tell the whole truth about a coffee-spill incident. Billy’s answer about the situation was less truthful than Summer’s, which highlighted the relationship corner he’s boxed himself into.

Billy knows that it’s time to move because Summer won’t relent in her ongoing, aggressive attempt to spark his interest. However, he has no idea that she’s planning to trail him to Philly. It feels as though Lauren will happen upon Billy and Philly during this trip and report back to Phyllis, or Phyllis will follow Billy and be stunned.

Actually, Billy had an opportunity to tell Phyllis everything Summer has done to-date. Nothing has actually happened as he’s been fighting off King’s character. But once again Billy withheld the truth from Phyllis, which served to further Summer’s breakup plan for ‘Philly’.
