The Young and the Restless (YR) Spoilers: Old Phyllis Briefly Reappears – Chelsea Desperate to Keep Good Life

The current version of Phyllis (Gina Tognoni) hasn’t been nasty on ‘The Young and the Restless’. Tognoni’s edition isn’t comparable to Michelle Stafford’s original and iconic edition. However, confirmed knowledge of Chelsea’s (Melissa Claire Egan) deplorable behavior is making Phyllis’ face red.

Of course, the red reference implies the nickname Phyllis held for years. Today’s Phyllis is a blonde and she’s with Billy (Jason Thompson). That character pairing was never possible when Stafford and Billy Miller were part of the cast. Yes, times have changed in Genoa City.

Of course, today’s Billy believed that Chelsea, who targeted him in Myanmar historically recognized as Burma) in 2011, had changed. As it turns out, she has evolved while still employing survival instincts when necessary, like now.

Chelsea felt pressured by Victor (Eric Braeden), who is aware of life-altering information about Christian (Jude and Ozzy McGuigen). The ‘Black Knight’ has been threatening a reveal to Nick (Joshua Morrow) in recent months. Faced with this unexpected emotional blackmail, Chelsea created a cloned Chelsea 2.0 website and defrauded Fenmore’s.

The mega-cash Alexandra West, Chelsea’s alias, amassed amounted to more than two-hundred thousand dollars. The loot was stashed inside the penthouse’s upstairs bathroom’s vents. Nick found it accidentally, after which Chelsea concocted a story about Adam (then played by Justin Hartley) supposedly having left it for her and Connor (Gunner and Ryder Gadbois). She also claimed to not be aware of him having done so.

Adam fans remain conflicted by the current storyline, which seemed to increasingly be establishing this character’s comeback. Since the money was Chelsea’s and not Adam’s, there appears to be no basis for believing that Michael Muhney has been, or will be rehired to evidence that alter ego again. The same logic holds true regarding any other actor wearing Adam’s face.

Now that Chelsea divulged the truth about Christian’s paternity to Phyllis, Y&R fans are being directed toward Egan’s write-out from the show. Chelsea’s departure from GC is imminent, which all soap fans of goodwill will surely tag as a loss.
