The Young and the Restless (YR) Spoilers: Nikki Links Victor With Ashley – Vashley Potential Reborn

Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott) responded to Victor’s (Eric Braeden) request on ‘The Young and the Restless’. She played a role for her husband at the Top of the Tower dinner they had with Ashley (Eileen Davidson). But in serving as the person who appeared to ask Davidson’s character to join Newman Enterprises, Nikki also opened the door to ‘Vashley’s’ potential rebirth.

The idea that Victor would leave Nikki for Ashley in the future can be discounted if any viewer wishes to do that. But history affirms that ‘Vashley’ happened in the past, which therefore means it could happen again.

Yes, Nikki directly addressed what she knew Ashley was thinking during that business ruse. The current Mrs. Newman openly stated that she was okay with one of her husband’s many ex-wives, who also gave birth to Abby (Melissa Ordway) many years ago, working for her husband.

‘Niktor’s’ recent revival wasn’t similar to past re-couplings. This time the fabled pair hadn’t divorced. Instead, after a few months of being separated, they held a meeting at the Ranch. No feel-good, lovey dovey reunion. Instead, each half of this on-again union employed ego-protection measures.

Both sides negotiated, sans legal representation, and agreed to live together. They would also push a public front for the good of the family business, which is what the meeting with and proposal to Ashley fell under. Not exactly a romantic revival, while also not a cold business decision, as Victor and Nikki do love each other.

With the above being said, Victor may opt to test his wife’s limits by making her believe that he’s romantically interested in Ashley at some future point. Clearly the ‘Moustache’ wouldn’t be above a jealousy test.

Whether that boundary push would lead to the actual reigniting of feelings between Victor and Ashley, on either side, or both is yet to be known. But surely the reality of Ashley jumping Jabot’s boat to join Newman’s yacht could set a new soapy course at any point.
