The Young and the Restless (YR) Spoilers: Nikki Feels Guilty – Victor Wasn’t Wrong This Time

Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott) was in shock on ‘The Young and the Restless’. The moment Nick (Joshua Morrow) told his mom what had happened to Victor (Eric Braeden) she bolted to Genoa City Memorial Hospital with him. Whether the ‘Moustache’ is clinging to life in one of the wings of the medical facility that he’s funded was not revealed by Hilary (Mishael Morgan) as she provided her live GC Buzz alert.

Y&R crafted a cool opening to the episode that showed how Victor made it from the bottom of his staircase to the hospital. Morgan’s character looked straight at the audience and told them what had happened, then graphics advised that a flashback to three hours earlier would play out.

In many past instances, Victor has behaved recklessly. Not this time. Instead, Nikki is the one who’s been cavorting. Her interaction with Arturo (Jeremy Ray Valdez) has been cheered by some, but seen by Nick as an ominous sign. He believed that whenever Victor found out about ‘Narturo’ there would be consequences.

However, Hilary advised that Victor was in a grave state. His doctor’s told the gathered family, including Victor’s assailant, J.T. (Thad Luckinbill) about the coma and cryptically advised that, “He’s still with us.”

Y&R fans saw what J.T. did earlier in the day to Vickie (Amelia Heinle), but likely weren’t prepared for Victor literally going down during the brawl that later erupted at the Ranch. Nikki wasn’t there at the time because she told Victor she had packed a bag and would be at the Genoa City Athletic Club for the night.

If only the love of Victor’s life had stayed home. Possibly the entire incident with J.T. wouldn’t have played out as it did. But it did and now the most iconic face remaining in GC is nearly dead.

The sight of Nikki hanging onto Nick as they made their way through the hospital halls evoked a mix of sympathy and sneers. Of course Nikki loves Victor, but all viewers were wondering if she felt guilty?

A text came from Arturo and the answer was learned through the reaction shot seen on Nikki’s pained face. Mrs. Newman knew she was in the wrong and wasn’t there when Victor needed her.
