Nick (Joshua Morrow) is clearly attractive to Sharon (Sharon Case) again on ‘The Young and the Restless’. The cottage arrangement provides proximity and his first true love’s enduring appeal remains undeniable, except to ‘Shick’s’ detractors. But is Sharon’s revival plan in peril because of J.T. Hellstrom (Thad Luckinbill)?
Normally, the reference of another man’s name at the end of the above setup would imply that J.T. is Nick’s rival. No, not in this instance as Y&R fans know so well. The once-loved character that Luckinbill played was devolved into a one-dimensional monster who’s finality provoked cheers from those in the gathered, anonymous digital mob.
Vickie (Amelia Heinle) was unable to help J.T. get the help he needed, as obviously that man was unable to aid himself after he’d spun out of control for thinly-written reasons. A heart problem and a career path that sputtered caused him to go berserk? Ah, okay.
Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott) defended her daughter by eliminating the problem. She and Phyllis (Gina Tognoni) then transformed into haughty coverup artists the likes of which Genoa City has never seen, which served to pull Sharon into their scheme. Yes, theirs, not Sharon’s.

Nick has come to trust Sharon again, which is quite the feat considering the Sully (actually Christian, Jude and Ozzy McGuigen) arc. Now, she’s needed to lie directly to his face to preserve her freedom as well as that of the other three members of the fated-quartet.
Brittany (Lauren Woodland) will soon return to handle legal issues that will unfold. Paul has already poked holes in the divergent stories Vickie, Nikki, Phyllis, and Sharon told.
Nick was at his sister’s house the night J.T. was erased from the script. If recent history teaches lessons, Y&R fans know how he’ll react when learning that Sharon hasn’t been forthcoming about the way this storyline played out.
Sharon could always come clean, as Nikki and Phyllis suspect she might. Doing so could help to preserve what currently seems like ‘Shick’s’ revival. But if that doesn’t happen hardcore fans of Sharon and Nick might again be facing dashed reunion plans.
