The Young and the Restless (YR) Spoilers: Nick Arrested – Rey Is A Police Officer

The Young and the Restless (YR) Spoilers: Nick Arrested – Rey Is A Police OfficerSharon (Sharon Case) was concerned that Rey’s (Jordi Vilasuso) interest in J.T. (Thad Luckinbill) would affect Nick (Joshua Morrow) on ‘The Young and the Restless’. Her misgivings have been realized.

It turns out that Rey is a police officer. His investigation into Mr. Hellstrom wasn’t as a collection’s agent. No, he’s a law and order figure.

Nick broke various laws while he was impersonating Luckinbill’s deceased character. Using J.T.’s credit line as part of an effort to intimidate Victor (Eric Braeden) was one of them.

As Y&R viewers recall, Nick doesn’t know that Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott) accidentally killed J.T., or that Vickie (Amelia Heinle), Phyllis (Gina Tognoni), and Sharon were present when that happened. He also doesn’t know that those four ladies morphed into a coverup crew as led by their fixer Phyllis.

Vilasuso’s introduction to the cast quickly led to his character being revealed as Arturo’s (Jason Canela) brother. That point played into Rey’s rapid insertion into the lives of many Genoa City residents. However, viewers were guessing as to what the elder Rosales’ brother’s profession really was.

It makes sense that Rey would represent the authorities. As such, Vilasuso’s character’s road forward can be projected. Working for Paul (Doug Davidson) at the GC Police Department would be a nice plot fit, while also affording many future storyline options.

Nick won’t be able to blame his father for the legal peril he’ll find himself in. Victor did act with malice regarding Christian’s (Jude and Ozzy McGuigen) paternity and momentary custody battle. However, the ‘Black Knight’ actually became Nick’s victim in the J.T. ruse.

Without knowing he was doing it, Nick has made himself look guilty. J.T.’s untimely demise has to be solved. That’s why it feels as though Nikki will have to reveal her actions in order to save her son from a murder charge. Her other coverup crew members may have to come clean as well. Of course this assumes that Rey, or someone, will determine that J.T. isn’t actually missing, but buried in Chancellor Park.
